Resident Evil 6 is a really awesome and fun game, but itās not necessarily a good āResident Evilā by a lot of peopleās standards. You should try it, itās usually pretty cheap nowadays, if you hate it then you hate it. If you love it, awesome, one more person to appreciate it. But you should form your own judgements on it.
The first Resident Evil Remake is probably my favourite because it retains, if not adds, elements of the gothic and elements that evoke early gothic and horror cinema particularly German Expressionist imagery in quiet areas. Resident Evil 4 gives me a similar vibe at times but the other games never quite hit that mark for me.

It ways baffles me when people are acting like RE6 is suddenly some masterful action game. It sucks at being an action game and that's the problem. The pacing, level design, enemies, cover system, vehicle segments, inventory, shooting, story, characters, etc were all bad.
This is what makes the original REmake the only true remake, because it's the only one of the bunch that does actually expand on the original game. Even RE2make gives you less than the original despite being hailed as a decent remake. And RE3make is the worst of the lot. 5.
After discovering the games i feel as though the movie is like a high quality cosplayer movie. The movie has resemblance to the games when Alice is not on screen. Editing is bad. But its nice to watch parts of the games on screen. As a horror/zombie movie removed from the games its passable and not really all that insulting.
