Tier A: Valkyrie. Best in: PvE, PvP. Just like Ranger this class does really well both in PvE and PvP, but Valkyrie is better adapted to PvP. This is also an excellent support class that can heal her teammates and help them recover in the most dire situations. Besides her spell powers Valkyrie wields a sword and a shield.

If you look for builds in general, try these: GuildJen for small scale wvw, roaming and pvp. gw2mists for wvw zerg fights. metabattle for a good mix of all modes, might be slightly outdated sometimes.
