I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting XP. I didn’t notice the incremental repairs to the rod. I thought it was glitched. Now I understand. The mending enchantment repairs the item using xp. So if you're using a damaged fishing rod with mending, the xp will go towards fixing the rod instead of giving you levels.
I am trying to setup some sort of system for my spigot 14.4 minecraft server. I want to keep inventory when I die but I want all my exp to be gone. I want at least some consequence for death on my server. I tried googling all around and couldn't find a solution for this. I tried the essentialsx plugin, that didn't work.
